The Social
In the heart of St. Paul, MN, nestled among the vibrant streets and bustling community, Flava Cafe stands as a testament to the importance of creativity, culture, community, and black women in business. On February 13, 2024, the aroma of freshly steeped chai tea and the sound of laughter filled the air in Flava Cafe.
A Conversation of Elevation was brought to life by Brown But BLACK.
As guests stepped into the warm embrace of Flava Cafe, they were greeted by the inviting ambiance—a fusion of eclectic decor, walls adorned with portraits of our Black leaders, bookshelves lined with the keys to our liberation, and the melodic tunes of Jill Scott and Eryka Badu.
The air buzzed with anticipation as attendees mingled, exchanged stories, and embraced the sense of belonging that permeated the space.
While watching their vision come to life brought founders Kaydee and Alexis immense joy - the most powerful aspect of the Brown But BLACK Social was the sense of solidarity, support, and sisterhood that infused every interaction.
Here's to many more moments of conversation, celebration, and authentic expression—here's to Brown But BLACK, Flava Cafe, and the beautiful tapestry of black womanhood that binds us all together.
